Maintaining a lush, healthy lawn starts with ensuring it has enough nutrients throughout the year. Fortunately, that’s where our lawn fertilization service comes in! Here at Proscape Property Maintenance, we offer a 7-step program that includes routine fertilization applications to give it the nourishment it needs to thrive. But wait, that’s not all – it also comes with pre- and post-emergent weed control and grub control treatments! Additionally, our products are pet-safe after drying, so we advise waiting to let your furry friends on the lawn again until they are, though it won’t take long before they can resume their normal activities.
We offer our lawn fertilization service to residential and commercial properties, along with HOAs, in Carmel, Westfield, Zionsville, IN, and nearby areas.
We want to ensure we set up your lawn for long-standing success, so we’ve structured our fertilization program to include seven visits from early spring until late fall. During these visits, we’ll do more than fertilize your turf but also apply pre- and post-emergent weed control treatments to keep it weed-free and a grub control treatment to prevent root-feeding grubs from causing problems. Here is our lawn fertilization schedule:
Mid-March – Mid-April: During our first visit, we apply a nitrogen-rich fertilizer to help prepare your lawn for spring growth, boost its vibrant green color, and strengthen its roots. We will also administer a pre-emergent weed control treatment to get ahead of spring weeds before they sprout.
April – Early May: During our second visit, we will apply another round of fertilizer to promote healthy grass growth and build up its strength in preparation for the hot summer months, plus a post-emergent weed control treatment to eliminate any existing weeds.
End of May – June: Our team will spot-spray any weeds that have surfaced since our last visit with our post-emergent treatment.
July: This visit includes a fertilization application to replenish any nutrients it lost and help it survive through the peak of the summer season. We’ll also administer a grub control treatment to prevent grubs from feeding on the roots of your grass.
August: We’ll combat any surfaced weeds with our post-emergents.
September – Early October: For this visit, we’ll fertilize your lawn again to help it recover from any summer-related stress and rebuild its vigor. We’ll also spot-spray any weed growth.
End of October – November: Our last visit of the year involves applying a nitrogen-rich winterizer treatment to help your turf survive winter dormancy and ensure it enters the following growing season on the right foot.
Safety is our top priority at Proscape Property Maintenance, and we want to put your mind at ease. So, we’ll advise you to keep your pets indoors during our lawn fertilization treatments and wait until they’re dry before letting them back out. However, once they are, they’re pet-safe! How long it takes depends on the weather conditions of that day, so don’t hesitate to ask our techs during our visits about when you can let your furry friends resume their normal activities. That way, you can ensure their safety and boast a beautiful, healthy lawn!
Boost your turf’s health and curb appeal with our lawn fertilization service! At Proscape Property Maintenance, we will supply your grass with the nutrients it needs to grow thick, lush, and vibrant. We offer this service to homes, businesses, and HOAs in Carmel, Westfield, Zionsville, and other surrounding areas in Indiana. Call us today at 317-366-2752 to schedule!
Lawn Nutrition
How many lawn fertilization treatments does my lawn need?
Proscape Property Maintenance offers a complete 7-round turf care program designed to feed your lawn and support healthier growth throughout the season. This program includes slow-release fertilizers, weed control, grub and insect control, broadleaf control, and a high-nitrogen winterizer.
Why are slow-release fertilizers used?
Slow-release fertilizers feed your lawn over time rather than giving it a quick burst of nutrients. This helps maintain steady color, promote stronger growth, and improve long-term lawn health.
Does lawn fertilization include weed control?
Yes, Proscape Property Maintenance’s turf care program includes season-long broadleaf control along with fertilization treatments. This helps your lawn receive nutrients while also reducing weed pressure throughout the growing season.
What does the winterizer treatment do for my lawn?
The winterizer treatment is high in nitrogen and is applied late in the season. It helps prepare your grass for winter and supports a stronger lawn when the growing season returns.
